For franchisors

A league table is fiction unless every site counts the same way.

Ranking studios is easy. Ranking them fairly is the hard part, and it is where most network reporting quietly falls over — one site counts holds as losses, another does not, and the quarterly review turns into an argument about the spreadsheet instead of a conversation about the studio.

Comparability

The definitions live centrally.

Active member, churn, ARM and new member are defined once, in the platform, and no site can quietly redefine them. A number in the network rollup means exactly what it means at the studio it came from.

Rollup

Worst first, never alphabetical.

One health score per site out of 100, banded Strong, Watch, Critical. High is good. You read where your attention is short in about five seconds.

Scope

Each role sees its own level and nothing above it.

Enforced in the database with row-level rules, not hidden in the interface — a coach cannot reach another site's members by changing a URL.

Methodology

Programming authored once, delivered network-wide.

The brand's week lands in every member's app on the right day at every site, with a local override where a site genuinely needs one.

Onboarding a new site

A new studio should not open with 180 false alarms.

The first time we brought a second studio online, the retention queue filled with urgent tasks for members who were perfectly fine. The site simply had no visit history yet, so “hasn't trained in weeks” was true of almost everybody and meant nothing about any of them.

Absence rules are now held back until a site has the history to justify them. We are telling you this because it is the exact failure a network rollout will hit, and because you should ask every vendor you speak to what happens on day one at a site with no data.

01

Connect the booking system.

We read. Nothing is written back, and card data is never touched.

02

Backfill what history exists.

Scores start from the site's real past, not from the day we arrived.

03

Members onto the app.

Your brand, your programming. This is where the leading signal starts.

04

Absence rules switch on when the coverage is there.

The queue stays quiet until it can be right. A queue nobody trusts in week one is a queue nobody opens in week ten.

Isolation

One database per brand. No shared tenant store.

Brands do not share a database, so nothing crosses between them by construction rather than by configuration. Every optional feature — challenges, referrals, announcements, promotions — defaults to off, and a new brand never inherits another brand's copy.

One definition, three screens Comparable by construction

A site cannot quietly redefine an active member, so the level above it is comparable on day one rather than after a quarter of arguing about the spreadsheet.

Bring two sites and a disagreement.

The fastest way to judge this is to put two of your studios side by side and see whether the comparison holds up to what you already know about them.
